Credit to Darren O'Neill Tomorrow's Show The over-hyped trip to China by Trump and the gaggle of American Executives is over. It was a long trip to get a Chinese version of a rubber chicken banquet where the rubber chicken was probably Peking Duck. Curiously since the Chinese Communist Party was trying to show off the fact that the word “party” was key, nobody reviewed the food. Trump and the execs flying on Air Force One were shown with some gosh awful looking fried dough balls or something horrendous looking provided by Panda Express on the way over. The photo turns out to be funny but fake. Somehow it was believable. At the Beijing meet-up Trump invited Xi and his wife to the White House in September. You can be sure the ceremony will be top notch with lots of military flyovers. But what will be served at the consequent banquet? It’s not even clear that there is a permanent Executive Chef at the White House. While someone is responsible for cooking for the President and First Lady, the larger events are catered by a team of people. Since Trump’s taste in food is plebeian and Melania is not known as some beautiful gourmand you have to assume that Xi and his wife will not be having the meal of their life. With Trump back, all that was apparently accomplished was a sale of some Boeing jets to China, and nothing was signed so that could still be malarkey. Meanwhile the Iran situation might be turning into a quagmire with nothing changing. Russia did send a huge contingent of perhaps 1500 drones into Ukraine to blow up (so they tell us) a slew of American corporate offices including Cargill. This was intentional and some sort of “statement” that might be a new theme to the battle.
