TECHNICAL-Windows 7 SP1 is here

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 has arrived and is available for download, but should you be doing this on your own?  Maybe your computer is set up to retrieve it automatically. Best thing you can do after reading this is speak to the person that normally looks after the maintenance of your computer, Should you be a client of mine then simply drop me a line and ask... odds are, depending on your operating system :note I receive many asking me about this since I am sure the news media have already mentioned it and the fact that you are reading this here, you don't need to worry about this if you don't have windows 7 and I know this is still many of you. If you have XP you should be seriously looking to upgrade and that typically will mean purchasing/build a new computer. Since the cost of a new box with dual core processor at least 500mb SATA hard drive and 4 GB of memory is sub $500 and in many places  just under $400. The fact that there is a service pack simply means all the updates in one install. That is, depending on how long ago your system has been updated. Since this update is about 800mb in size and will be done as part of the updating process dependent of your settings. Again, this is something you should simply be asking whomever looks after your maintenance.  Quick links for your technical apt can be found here:
