If you have XP you should be seriously looking to upgrade and that typically will mean purchasing/build a new computer. Since the cost of a new box with dual core processor at least 500mb SATA hard drive and 4 GB of memory is sub $500 and in many places just under $400. The fact that there is a service pack simply means all the updates in one install. That is, depending on how long ago your system has been updated. Since this update is about 800mb in size and will be done as part of the updating process dependent of your settings.
