Tomorrow’s Show
Yes, the Covid Carnival continues into its second year unabated with talks of a fourth surge and new deadly variants. We hear of the deadly more contagious variants from (Brazil, UK, South Africa, home grown – choose one).
On the local news shows this is then followed by a discussion of the efficacy of the various vaccines regarding the variants and on and on. Once in a while, during the newscasts, someone introduces an actual fact and nobody knows what to do so they fall back into, “masks work, mask up!” and leave it at that. |

Humanitarianism Schism
The mainstream media is beginning to touch on the humanitarian disaster in Yemen which receives a lot of “oh my” lip service and no real action. It seems to be a symbolic relief valve for the Middle East with none of the Western countries financing the event wanting to even discuss it.
Myanmar is another dopey situation that seems to initiate more “head in the sand” reactions. You were taught in school that the U.N. was developed to keep such things from happening, no? |
