Tomorrow's Show The tariff scheming continues with China figuring it will not be pushed around by Trump and the Republicans. If they were paying attention they'd realize that the entire Trump gambit is to eventually charge the entire world 10-percent to do business here with no more than 10-percent tariffs on American exports. That seems to be the ultimate goal. With the USA importing about $3.5 trillion per year this would mean $350 billion in tariff income which should offset the continued tax reduction Trump wants to keep in place which supposedly costs between $150-350 billion per year. These are all based on various estimates. The long term goal is to balance the budget and reduce the deficit without ruination. Let's see what happens. Tariffs alone obviously will not do the trick. Cartels in the Crosshairs The idea that the USA will use predator drones to blow up the Mexican cartels the way Obama blew up every terrorist he could find in the Middle East including two American citizens (on purpose) seems like a plan. This might put an actual crimp in the drug trade if Mexico can tolerate the blowback they would get from its public. The key is to designate drug dealers as “terrorist organizations.” Nomenclature makes a difference. How about naming the Democrat-Socialists terrorists next? You can see where this is headed.
