The Iranian mess seems to be coming to an end in one way or another. There were odd positive signals from both the Council on Foreign Relations (C.F.R.).On April 11 an article in Current Affairs was titled, “Why the Cease-Fire With Iran Will Hold -- The De-Escalatory Logic That Will Shape Negotiations.” Chatham House ran a similar article before the sudden re-opening of the Straights of Hormuz. These are believed to be communications outlets for the deep state and Intelligence operations of the USA and the UK respectively.
Via their respective publications articles appeared sympathetic to the war indicating it was going well and should end soon. Within a day or two the Straights were opened. Coincidence?
Meanwhile the, mainstream media and the Trump skeptics, all of who consistently referred to the war as a “war of choice” never seemed to be “read-in” and just followed their group instinct to push back on all things Trump, especially this war. This was necessary to make sure the Dems capture the mid-term elections which seem assured. Even if the war is wrapped up in the weeks ahead, the Dems are poised to take the House meaning a third and possibly fourth impeachment for Trump.
Meanwhile, everybody is piling on Eric Swalwell which may trigger a more interesting response than mere denials. Swalwell could easily turn on his party and admit that he was a stooge during the Russia hoax and admit he was sent out by Pelosi to lie about Trump. That would be fun to see since it was the mainstream media who ate it up. |
