Tomorrow's Show Communism is sweeping the Democrat Party. At least it appears to be doing so in New York State, where four Democrat Socialists (DSA) won the primaries over traditional Democrats. NYC already has a Democrat Socialist as do two mayors on the West Coast in Los Angeles and Seattle.
Much of this has to do with very low voter turnout (apathy and a strong door-to-door ground game exercised by the Democrat Socialists).
Because these people are in Democrat controlled districts or cities, they are a shoe-in to win the November elections. The people who come out to vote in these districts just vote Democrat no matter who the person is.
These candidates talk mostly about freeing Palestine, as if that has anything to do with American politics. Some go further and talk about defunding the police, nationalizing corporations, and even ending the idea of Western Civilization.
A few of these people got elected despite never having a job. Some still live at home with their mom. It is quite remarkable.
Under normal circumstances these folks would be rebuked or marginalized by the party managers whose job it is to keep members in line. But these DSA members are rebels who want to oust party leadership already.
Their easy election is a problem because it confirms the Bernie Sanders thesis (also expressed by Robert Reich and others) that the key to success for the Democrats is to go further left, not towards the middle. This proves the point and should result in them running a crackpot for president in 2028 which will result in a George McGovern sort of defeat. Socialist ideology only appeals to certain miserable areas of the country and not to the nation as a whole. In fact, most people do not like socialists or their ideas.
When combined with the nutty gender ideology and soft on crime policies, this is a disaster waiting to happen. |
