How Important are the Windows Updates?-TIP

If you are running Windows 7 then you should be quite safe using the automatic windows updates and you should be using them. For an example, just installing a clean OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium edition and then checking the available windows updates will set you back over 300mb of file updates currently available.  It is now to the point if you are still using Windows XP, you should confirm you are up to date, not by just using the windows updates automatically but by using the free Belarc Advisor program which will do a much more thorough job, making sure the existing windows updates are still in fact working and have not become corrupted by other malicious programs.  The same can be said about Windows Vista, if you have not already updated to the Service Pack 2 of Vista, be sure to check what else you are missing using this fabulous software tool.
