Shaw email problems-Massive Error!

So you like your email services through Shaw do you?  According to reports, it appears that not only did you not get your email but it was deleted.. this is something that simply wouldn't happen if you were using a web-based email like Gmail, Outlook.com (formerly hotmail and windows live mail), or Yahoo mail.   As much as I try to persuade my existing clients over to GMAIL there are still those that are stuck on using their internet provider email (Shaw) as they say "oh, it is good enough for what I want" but how good it is when mail is not even delivered to you and instead is immediately deleted?  The problem is the sender doesn't even recognize that you did not receive it and so now you are left holding that preverbal bag (the empty mail bag)!

The advantages of having a web-based email (from now on I will use GMAIL as that is really what you want), are so many but to name a few;

• Accessing your email from any device (tablet, phone or computer)
• From anywhere you have internet connection
• The email address is yours for life (or the life of Google, should you outlive them), unlike your internet provider email, the moment you opt to switch to a different provider because they have a better deal or you move out of town from the existing provider, the moment you quit their services is the moment you lose all of your email access to that account.
• The best email spam filtering available (Gmail)
• Having a Google (Gmail) account allows you to take advantage of chrome sign in which will save your settings, bookmarks and more.
