Dear Producers,

Support for the show decreased over the past three shows and we’d like to see some of our regular producers and contributors help out with upcoming show 692. Tomorrow’s show looks very thin again insofar as support is concerned.

A STORY FOR YOU
Once you lose something. It’s gone. Every few days I receive a tweet from someone demanding I bring back Cranky Geeks. This was an online video show that featured famous techies discussing the news of the day. It was an upgrade from Silicon Spin that was on TechTV. It too was shuttered.


Cranky Geeks was a very well structured show but it had a following that would not support it. I made almost no money for doing the show. It was not time well-spent. Nobody wanted to advertise on it. In the end it was abandoned for lack of support. Anyone thinking that the show should be revived ignores this fact. This is what happens when support dries up.

There is zero reason to believe that a revival would change anything.

WE DO WORRY
Adam and I constantly worry that out-of-the-blue your support for No Agenda will just dry up. People will get bored and just let the show die. Since your No Agenda Show is 100-percent listener supported it will not be difficult to spot disinterest. At that point the show goes away never to return. Leaving behind a unique family of producers – an actual milieu of smart people.

 Every year during the winter a certain malaise creeps into the audience. When we ask you for support, we mean it. It’s no joke. Most support from the newsletter appears with the first two or three hours of its receipt. During this critical period last Thursday we got a total of $13.33 ($10 and $3.33) from two donations. This is out of around 14,000 who are sent the newsletter. Some more dribbled in later but was a poor and disappointing showing.

This is despite bringing you news analysis you cannot find anywhere else!

I personally attributed this to the January doldrums and to the show being too long. I hope it’s not that you all are losing interest in our news deconstruction as we head to show 700.

Every computer I have ever connected to or worked on has Google Earth installed. The free Non-Pro version that is..

 Something that used to cost $399 is now FREE by simply filling out a form and then downloading the program. As TechCrunch reports in this article, which includes all the necessary links.

 You are probably asking, what's so special about the pro version?
Here’s what it can do that the non-Pro version can’t:
  • Print images at 4800×3200; non-Pro is capped at 1000×1000.
  • Automatically import a few thousand addresses at once to be pinned on a map
  • Capture HD videos of what’s on screen.
  • Measure distances/areas using lines, paths, polygons, circles, and more. Non-pro can only handle lines/paths.

On Thursday we roll out show 691 which is only five shows away from Valentine’s day and your chance to call out your Valentine and receive double producer credit. And it is only nine shows away from show 700, which is an accomplishment for any podcast.
None of this is possible without your continued support. With no advertising and pure listener support we can discuss news and cultural items and trends that literally are not allowed in advertising supported media that is always worried about “brand safe” discussions with enforcers making sure the advertiser is satisfied. On tomorrow’s show, John will roll out his theory about the origins of the modern hugging phenomenon that has taken root in American culture. It all becomes clear after this.
Also, we’ll talk about the questionable worst blizzard in the history of the country that turned out to be a dud in much of the east coast and little more than the typical Nor’easter in Boston. Another computer model that failed.
Oh the horror! Shut down the city. Stay home. Declare martial law. Institute a curfew. What could be worse than this?
Then there is this, [graph below] solid evidence that when it comes to propaganda and re-writing history, the USA is number one. While this is good and beneficial for the prospects of the country it does not benefit the general public who have been suckered into believing government propaganda too. You hear the conversations around you, and you should be aghast at what people think and believe.
The only beneficiaries of the propaganda are the elites who know better. Your No Agenda Show is your bypass route to the truth which should benefit you in untold ways. You join the milieu of the elites and get the health and spiritual benefits of seeing the media for what it is: a mechanism trying to scare you to death and steer you into an addiction to the entertainment industry to “escape.”
False choice. Choose one. Dancing girls? Or Isis coming to kill you?
This is not a good thing and you must keep No Agenda supported to fight this trap. Contribute today!
