Leave this Movie Behind The current buzz around the media is about an incredibly slow-moving (aka boring) film by Sam Esmail called “Leave the World Behind.” This is the first and hopefully last film produced by Barrack and Michelle Obama for Netflix. (be assured that soon one of these two will “want to direct”). Based on an apocalyptic novel, by Rumaan Alan, about the end of civilization created by bad guys using EMP, cyber attacks on the infrastructure and even the targeted Cuban-style microwaves. With various bogus stories about how Obama scared the crap out of Esmail with tales of woe regarding these possibilities, the story is a boring and confused mess that scientifically makes no sense and does not have much of a plot. There are a lot of woke messages that become apparent. The most onerous is that if you are a black man you can never count on whitey to be much of a true friend. Other anti-white memes are apparent, including the symbolic pile up of self driving white Teslas. Teslas does make other colors. The M5M is chatting up the movie as if it is a cautionary tale of some sort. The right wing talkers are all saying it's about an attack by China. “It could happen this way!” In fact, unless you are suicidal or incredibly hard up for entertainment, the movie is seriously unwatchable. You can read the synopsis of the plot here (wiki link), and save a couple of hours. Whoever tried to summarize this movie must have been rolling their eyes. The summary is nuts. Watch how this movie will get a nomination for something or other that will result in the Obama's getting a front row seat at the Oscars. (Red book prediction). The corruption is blatant. |
