Tomorrow's Show The political climate is getting weirder as it seems to be a re-do of 2015 when the Trump Derangement Syndrome first cropped up. If you recall, during that era, the National Review, a supposed “Conservative” magazine of some repute dedicated an entire issue to the dangers of Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for the Presidency. The articles were seemingly written by pearl clutching hysterics fearful of the unknown and seemingly on-board with Hillary Clinton. That's now been mimicked by the Atlantic which has basically done the same thing and dedicated an entire issue to condemning Donald Trump as a genuine threat to Democracy. Again a similar group of pearl-clutching hysterics are at work. This new 'threat to Democracy” and “this will be the last election ever, if Trump is elected” is far more insane and asinine than any of the rantings of the Rob Reiners and other raw Trump-haters of the Hillary era. The amusing contradictions are abundant including talking about the end of Democracy (we're a Republic by the way) while challenging Trump being on the ballot. He was taken off the ballot in the Colorado primary. Also claiming he'll go after political opponents while the Biden administration is trying to imprison him during the election. A favorite meme is “take him at his word!!!” assertion when he says he will be dictator. So if you are going to take him at his word how come the “for one day” to “close the borders” is not part of his “word?” This is a seriously clown show, worse than 2015. |
