Tomorrow's Show It's fun to listen to the TV pundits tell the public that the upcoming DNC will be nothing like the 1968 fiasco. The claim is that, unlike in 1968, they are super-prepared with lots of police from all over the place. The overtime bill for this event will be outrageous. And while they might actually be better prepared than in 1968, this is a different type of protester. The 1968 crowd was an anti-war pacifist group that was beaten up by the police when the Chicago Police were known for brutality. This new group is a violent Antifa-like group hoping to create havoc to draw attention to their message. There is a better than average chance that these 2024 protesters might manage to break through the protective lines and bum rush the convention floor. You can be sure that many protesters have already managed to get passes into the event using various subterfuges. If you are not living in Chicago, this event may become a fabulous entertainment moment. And we also have to note that Biden will give a big speech on Monday. Will we get jacked-up Joe? Let's hope so. Besides a phalanx of angry police officers, people have forgotten that in 1968 the National Guard was also employed. Media Staged Event If you saw Kamala Harris roll-out her economic plan on TV, you'd think it was done in some big auditorium filled with people. Below is a picture of the actual “set” used for the event. There were carefully placed actors around the fake stage and the whole thing was shot in such a way that you would never know this was totally bogus. Pathetic.
