Avast Version 7 and Chrome

It appears that the new Version 7 of Avast antivirus comes with its own version of Chrome and unfortunately because this program will automatically update your old version 6, upon reboot you will be prompted with not only 'would you like to join the community' but also to install the chrome web browser. The problem is, if you simply click OK you will get both and your existing icons will no longer function.  Because Avast is providing you with this free program, I must remind you to pay attention to the fine print. In this case, the check-boxes that will have you opt-in by default. Therefore you must DE-SELECT the checkboxes otherwise you will find yourself with non functioning chrome icons.
