Microsoft's Subliminal Advertising-I just don't get it!

It started with the Windows Phone and now the Surface RT/Pro. Pretty much any TV program you watch these days, you will see them pull out the Surface device or Windows phone to use. Yet in reality nobody is buying them.  Knowing that any production company will gladly use 'free stuff' for props it is no wonder these devices show up online. But from Microsoft's own perspective on advertising and promotion, really?  I think it would make more sense is placing that money in to research and development and simply getting a good product out there. Then you won't need to flog this crap off on lame TV shows!

Computer repairs--the freebies for the family?

I can truly relate to Brien Posey's recent post, "Ten Reasons not to Fix Computers for Free".  
As family truly does take things for granted and the "future problems is your fault" has happened to me on many occasions, mostly because the computer I was working on was very old in the first place. This is just one more reason why it is important to be doing the diagnosis BEFORE you start the work. That way you can let them know ahead of time, that because they are still running on Windows XP for example, they are doomed if you continue to use it. 

With the cost of a new computer starting at just under $400 it usually doesn't make much sense to perform any major repairs if you aren't already using Windows 7 or 8 and if the repair requires hardware such a new hard drive, for example, due to the fact that you are looking at spending 1/4 of the price of a brand new computer just to repair an old one.  A part replacement such as a power supply is no problem, since this has not affected the actual workings of the computer, once you have restored power to the unit but other then that..

LAMENTS. I have to correct the tease from the last show that I was going to review the Miss Universe show. I didn’t. After watching Miss America and the Emmys, I decided to watch baseball. The Miss Universe show is too douchey and I was not going to get any good clips. NSA honcho Keith Alexander is more entertaining. He was on C-SPAN 3 and packing them in. I have clips from him instead. LIES. It looks as if fabled journo Seymour Hersh has come out and said that the Usama Bin-Laden killing was a pack of lies. A No Agenda thesis comes to the fore! CONSPIRACIES. These weird posters are showing up all over the SF Bay Area. This picture below was taken at a BART subway station. We’ll be looking into this. First thing I noticed is that the domain was registered through an anonymity service. ADMISSIONS. My favorite clip of the day comes from Dianne Feinstein chief of the Senate Intelligence oversight committee. She came out and said that the shootings at the WestGate Mall could have as easily happened here in the USA. With this comment, she actually admitted that our intel agencies cannot do their jobs. Think about it. Of course she should have said that the shooting could not happen here because we are a security state stopping these events left and right, but she didn’t. Dear Producers and Supporters, One of the key goals for your No Agenda Show is to get more listeners. We tend to forget how important it is to the future of the show. We need more listeners. Ramsey Cain, the producer who brought you the No Agenda CD (and even produced a clip show this summer) sent the following note: No Agenda CD is looking for a few people (in the U.S.) to actively distribute NACDs. We will burn and print the discs and ship them out to the producers. We'll be able to tailor the discs to the local audience, as well; red state, lots of lesbians, whatever.Having the discs online is great, but if no one is standing on a street corner or on a campus handing out hundreds of discs, they aren't doing any good. I've recorded a call to arms that I'm going to ask GitmoSlave to play on the streamLinkwhich includes this audio clip. We'd really like to get some boots on the ground and start shipping out massive amounts of discs ASAP. This benefits the show greatly especially if the discs are distributed in places where commuters frequent. A truck stop is an excellent example. All long haul truckers should be listening to No Agenda. Any producer who wants to help should contact Ramsey at noagendacd@gmail.com. Despite the fact that the public seems uninterested in all this bickering, it takes front and center on all the alphabet soup networks. IOS 7 is out-Should you Upgrade?

The obvious answer is YES you should upgrade, but before you do you should first make sure you have updated all available apps through the app store. Once this is done, restart your device (iphone/ipad) and then proceed to the SETTINGS Icon and the on GENERAL and finally SOFTWARE UPDATE.  It requires 3.2 GB of available room on your device so if you have filled it up it won't allow you to proceed until you have removed enough items. It will list them in size so I suggest removing the items largest to smallest leaving important ones like your Chrome browser (assuming you have installed the Chrome browser) and your Gmail app if you are using Gmail.   I ended up removing about 5 or 6 items--mostly game apps that I haven't played for probably a year. Don't worry, once the update is complete you can always go back to the app store and re-install, even if you purchased it, it will remember you already own it!

Some people are holding off in case there are problems.. it is always best to perform a backup of your device so if you haven't done that for some time then plug it in to your computer and open Itunes and perform a backup.   My belief is there are always going to be problems with certain apps initially but that goes without saying.. but with any new operating system, things are going to generally be much faster and if nothing else, it is a great way to clean house on all those apps you weren't using anyway!

Dear Producers, Here’s the problem with the mainstream media. There are a series of weird videos propagating across the country as this is written. They claim an attack of FEMA Region III (area around Washington, DC) us being planned and DHS is arming itself to the teeth to battle urban riots. Also, the Russians Army is coming to help fight against Americans. Besides FEMA Region III it appears as if Austin, TX is a target too. This is the kind of news story that should be immediately analyzed by the large reporting organizations as they have the resources to actually visit one of the cited sources, a long retired 75-year-old former State Senator from South Dakota named Sheldon R. Songstad. Apparently only your No Agenda Show has the ability to get to the bottom of this propaganda assault on the public as well as determining the causes. The mainstream media will get to work after your No Agenda Show leads the way. Seriously, this is sad. The best compilation video, designed to scare the public, can be found on YouTube here. Have a laugh. And Congratulations to the No Agenda Show. No, not for the sixth anniversary of the show, but for the six week cycle staying intact as the Navy Yard shooting on Sept. 15th falls within the time frame. Again, the message is simple. Keep the AR-15 out of the hands of the public. Oh, and avoid hiring contractors.  The next occurrence should take place in and around October 28th which coincidentally will maintain the “6” week cycle right on the week of the No Agenda Show “6” anniversary. Wow. Producers, As you know the window for the 6 week cycle of staged events is closing rapidly and perhaps everyone is so busy in meetings about NSA leaks, nobody has time to run the psyops campaigns against the American public. Is it possible that that loony Staged fire drill at the Boston Airport last Wednesday on 9/11 itself was part of a bigger scheme that failed?. We do not know. If true, we can reset the clock or keep looking.   Then again, the cycle of six may be over. The Thursday Show The upcoming show has an abundance of material with the Australian election results in, and Obama’s dilemma taking new and interesting turns. Also, it looks as if John Kerry and his flub machine will get a permanent segment. Who knew that this guy would be so much more entertaining than Hillary ever was? And, of course, there is the media. Here’s an interesting tidbit to consider. This week commemorates the 40th anniversary of the overthrow of the elected government of Chile and Salvador Allende who was replaced by Augusto Pinochet. This coup was orchestrated by the US Government led by Nixon and Kissenger after much prodding by the CIA. Besides landing right on the 40-year depression cycle the event itself took place on September 11. Yes, 9/11. (And Today is September 11 and marks the 6th week cycle which we will discuss too.) What’s interesting is how the news outlets covering this 40-year-old event never once comment upon the coincidental 9/11 date for fear of being branded as “truthers” or conspiracy nuts or whatever. So they ignore the coincidence completely, fearful of even mentioning it like some superstitious old woman afraid to say anything bad because it may come true. Ignoring this sort of item and not even mentioning the coincidence is one of the reasons that your No Agenda Show is so superior to what is presented by both corporate and alternative media as news. Even Democracy Now, which did a long special on this anniversary, not once said anything about the coincidence. It’s hard to understand. The No Agenda Show will always speculate on these coincidences, code words and numerological mysteries such as the number 33. It’s interesting and needs discussion. Your co-hosts, John C.
