The other hot topic seems to be the fabrication, by both sides, of the immigration debate. You should note that neither side ever mentions the impracticality of the mostly El Salvadorian migration. These are Spanish speaking populations surrounded by Spanish speaking populations. In the case of El Salvador they are bordered by Guatemala and Honduras, they are close to Panama and even Colombia, a huge nation. And then there is the whole of Spanish speaking South America! Instead they trek all the way through Mexico (why not settle there?) to the USA where they do not speak the language.
