A couple of years ago Zoolz had a deal where you could get 3TB of LIFETIME storage for a really really good deal. I jumped on it, even though I use and RECOMMEND BACKBLAZE. I figured 3 TB of lifetime storage would work great for my own personal stuff. About 7 or 8 months ago I got notice that the maintenance plan on the lifetime accounts would end and they were asking for a 'nominal $15/year or just over $1 per month to continue this maintenance plan".. I emailed them questioning what maintenance they were talking about... think about when you plug in your 128GB Flash drive, other than the initial format you don't do maintenance on it. There response was quite clear that they were going down.. I knew when a company doles out 'lifetime' packages it was a hail-mary to get enough funding to pay their staff. Now here we are, less than a year later and they are closing the doors on their home plans so they can focus on business plans.. sorry folks, I can't promote this at all. You would be better to jump now.
