Tomorrow's Show There will be plenty to discuss as the upcoming Trump cabinet and other appointments continue unabated but with plenty of push back.
Pete Hegseth is the current target as the nominee for Secretary of Defense. Rumored womanizing and drunkenness are emphasized by his opponents based on sketchy backgrounders and a nasty note from his Mom from 7 years ago that someone captured and gave to the NYT. One must assume that the NSA or another spy agency did the dirty deed because they do not want this guy shaking things up at the Pentagon. The best bet is the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) using the NSA databases of communications they've collected which include everyone's email and phone calls. Immediately Ron DiSantis came up in the conversation as the possible replacement, he would be immediately replaced by Jeanette Núñez, the current Lt. Governor who while a Republican seems a lot more liberal than DiSantis. She was a never-Trumper in 2016 but became a leader in 2020 of Latinos for Trump, so there is that. You should expect this to play out with Hegseth bailing out. He'd return to Fox with a higher profile. He may have been a straw man all along. Kash Patel is the other controversial choice as head of FBI with the media going apeshit over his being picked. All this noise should make it easier to take the heat off of RFKjr's ascension to head of HHS which everyone wants to see except the Senate stooges who may have to stick their necks out for Big Pharma.
What should be noted is that Trump can threaten to sign an executive order on day one banning advertising by Big Pharma for prescription drugs, the current motor that drives its influence machine. Hanging that threat over their heads would also impinge the corporate media that relies on this money so they would get on board with RFKjr immediately. This is not to say that Trump won't pull this advertising privilege down the road anyway, but it does make for a good cudgel in the short term, so do not expect it right away.
