Google+ should you join?-Update on security
You may want to check on this and set the security settings accordingly.
Although I do own a Facebook account, I have kept it to my friends and family. Not that I don't see my clients as friends, but found Google+ to be the perfect place to en'circle' my clients utilizing the Google+ circles.
Many are worried about Google's new security policy which takes place March 2012. You can read it all here.
Personally, it is nice to see a company at least being transparent enough to know where you need to go to change and setup your security, unlike Facebook! What web browser are you using? Are you really aware of all the cookies being collected? Of course not, so being educated more shouldn't make you decide to stop using their service, especially when Google has such a huge stake in the Internet as we currently know it.

Spam hasn't gone anywhere
Another annoying Samsung Note review
As for the size of this thing, yeah it is big but that is why I bought it. I have small chubby Man fingers but don't find it difficult to walk, read and scroll using one hand. When it comes to using the camera..seriously? How can you possibly have troubles with this? Look around at what others are doing when they use their smartphones whether it be an iPhone, android or blackberry, 90 % are using two hands because they are busy texting something. As I still own my old iPhone as well as an iPod touch, I find myself laughing when I pick it up..it's like a toy now..so small!
Finally, when making a call, the ear speaker at my ear and the microphone actually at my mouth, this is no different than using a normal phone on your desk or how things were with those original white motorola phones, but with the thickness less than an iPhone and half the weight...yes I loved the iPhone and the technology, but come on, this Samsung Galaxy Note is by far the best thing to come along..to date.

Pop Under Advertising
So, with a little knowledge of just what is going on and recognizing that it is quite a common thing to have multiple windows and/or tabs opening on any given web browser (Chrome being my choice as the one to use and highly recommend it as well), just dont forget to minimize the current window to see just what may be happening in the background. You can also RIGHT CLICK on the current tab you have open and choose to close all other tabs. If a new browser window opened and you are using Windows 7 then you should also be able to move your mouse over the program icon on the task tray to see the other windows that are running and choose to close them by clicking on the red X.

IPads and upgrading them
Of course with any new product there will be rumours as to what it will actually have for specs but all this does is promote the obvious which will be, many of the next generation Ipads will sell and sell fast!
I own the original Ipad as well as the Ipad2, both are the 3G version because that was, by far, the greatest feature in my opinion. Just having the ability to connect anywhere there is cell service, not having to be within a wifi hotspot truly makes the device mobile. Considering it is about $100 more, it is well worth it. Of course that means you need to subscribe to a monthly service plan but there is no long term contract so you don't have to purchase a 3G plan for the month or more, if you know you will not be travelling, but knowing it is there, I believe is a big deal.
I never missed the camera that wasn't part of the original Ipad as I don't believe I have really made many video calls the required this, nor have I really used the camera for taking pictures, but again, it is nice to have it there, especially for some of the newer apps that are taking advantage of the camera/gps for location type services.
External/SD card memory.. don't miss that either.. having the ability to network to some other computer is just fine, not to mention dropbox, the cloud, box, etc... yes, I have purchased the SD card adapter but that was so I could upload my pictures from my camera, which I believe I have actually used twice so this too is something optional and is merely a tool that you can choose to buy if you are in to this sort of thing.
The speed difference between Ipad 1 and 2 is noticeable with certain apps but not that much really, but then again, my Ipad 1 is now used for the less memory intensive items while I do those things from my Ipad2.
Will I be getting an Ipad3? Yes, absolutely, and it will be the 3G version, or should I say LTE version as it is most likely going to have that if nothing else (quad core is skeptical in my opinion and I believe we won't see this until the Iphone 5 is released probably on or near the end of November 2012)
Do I really need 3 Ipads? No, but then again, for each Ipad I have, that is less time spent on any other computer I may be using and that includes any laptop since I utilize the Apple Bluetooth keyboard with whichever Ipad I am using as the portable typing device.
It truly boils down to what you plan to use the device for. Initially if it becomes the bathroom reading device, so be it. You won't be disappointed with whichever version you end up with, and knowing they are already starting to drop the prices on Ipad2 in anticipation of #3, you may want to settle on that, especially if it is your first Ipad you will own.

Chrome continues to be more speedy..
If you are still not using Chrome as your main/default browser, then what the heck are you waiting for?
Today it seems everyone is complaining their computer is not fast enough when in fact it is more likely the web browser you are using (and the probable malware/spyware that needs cleaning out but that is another subject all together). When you are doing web research/surfing, the last thing you want is a slow browser and Google Chrome continues to lead the way in speed.
They have now released an even faster version so what are you waiting for, more security? They have managed to work this in as well!

[Rant] Going in circles? Sometimes I do feel that way!
On any given day, I will spend it consulting about technical issues, attempting to make your day a little easier by explaining how to do things a certain way, using the right tool for the right job. Whether that be with a specific software program or the right piece of tech hardware, there is really nothing quite as frustrating for me when I have spent the time initially only to find myself spending more time later on FIXING the problem. This was due to the fact that whatever I had initially explained as what I thought was the correct approach to handling the problem, was not the path chosen and the direct result was failure. For me, this isn't even the most frustrating part about it, since I had most likely already witnessed or experienced this type of failure first hand and was merely trying to avoid it happening again. But because this person choose to completely ignore my recommendations AND THEN proceed to blame me for the failure!
I am certainly not staying that it should ever be 'my way or the highway', but if you are asking for my professional opinion about something and then you decide to go a different route, why would you them wish to press my buttons by blaming me for your failure? It is this sort if thing that truly makes one want to reevaluate how to spend each 24 hours of each day!
