Government Attack on Free Speech The Washington Examiner and other outlets have uncovered a State Department funded operation to blacklist media sites that it does not agree with. You will recall the attempt at the Biden administration to create some official disinformation bureau run by some loony woman who liked to sing on public videos. That project was secretly continued and the operation, run out of the UK, is providing sanctioned black lists to advertisers encouraging them not to advertising on any of the cited news organizations. Here is a snippet of the report.
” The Global Disinformation Index, a British organization with two affiliated U.S. nonprofit groups, is feeding blacklists to ad companies with the intent of defunding and shutting down websites peddling alleged "disinformation," the Washington Examiner reported . This same "disinformation" group has received $330,000 from two State Department-backed entities linked to the highest levels of government, raising concerns from First Amendment lawyers and members of Congress.”
The idea is to use the government as a virtual thug to “send a message” that things may not go too well for you if you advertise with any of the blacklisted news outlets. You know, we have tax investigators, FTC powers, etc. These blacklisted outfits include the Washington Examiner, the Daily Wire, Newsmax and even the New York Post, among others.
This is a frightening revelation, especially to the outlets dependent on advertising revenue. It also drives home the rational for the No Agenda value for value model of support. If the New York Post can be blacklisted by these douchebags, then anyone can. And we all know the big advertisers will follow orders. |
