    The corporate media attacks Google. What?

     

    Dear Producer,

    The contribution levels to support the show have been down substantially during the month of July. We need better support. If you have never contributed, consider doing so today by clicking here. If you have contributed, how long has it been?

    Think about the following story being outlined in Techdirt (and almost no other media outlets) as you consider the value of the No Agenda Show and why it needs support.
    And when you look into it, the message communicated by the caption is also not true.
    According to the apparently genuine and damning documents attached to this story about the MPAA going after Google, the MPAA was getting a little annoyed with Google failing to protect the interests of the movie and music industries. By failing to protect they meant that Google was allowing search results that would find links to copyrighted material that could be downloaded without payment or permission

    Worse, Google’s YouTube was a constant source of irritation for hosting copyrighted clips and entire presentations and had to be constantly monitored.

    The idea, as outlined in this article, was to put together a public relations campaign to smear Google and teach them a lesson and send the company a message. There were earlier hints that something like this would happen when so-called project Goliath was revealed last year.
    This in itself was not weird or unusual in the world of business. What should get your attention was the explicit manner in which they would do this: By specifically planting negative stories within the Wall Street Journal and the Today Show.

    It seemed as if these were conduits for smear campaigns orchestrated by the MPAA as well as conduits for movie promotions. And this makes nothing but sense when you consider the fact that the WSJ is owned by Rupert Murdoch who owns the Fox movie studios and the Today show is owned by the same company that controls Universal Studios another massive Hollywood operation.

    This scandalous story has no traction on any of the networks and certainly not Fox news or MSNBC. ABC is run by Disney, so they are not about to cover it.  CBS is controlled by Sumner Redstone who also runs Viacom and thus the Paramount movie studios.
    Does anyone see a problem here? And what other non-movie media operation is going to go after this cabal? Would the New York Times risk it? These guys are going after Google! This is non-trivial. So nobody is making a fuss.  Nobody.

    This is your grim future without No Agenda. A complete and final system of intertwined entertainment conglomerates whose goal is to take your money and show you whatever propaganda they feel like showing. This is the Death Star and it has been completed.

    Just watch the Today Show and compare what they deliver to you. Compare it to what you get from the No Agenda Show. It’s a comparison you can make. The differences are stark.
    This media system is in place to control the way you think. It’s pretty simple and it works. People support No Agenda because it  provides insight into this, valuable and much-needed insight. Valuable to you. A lifeline to reality. The show needs your support to continue this work. Donate what you can afford.

    Pay Attention Facebook Users-Are you worried about Internet Security?


    If you are one of the close to billion users of Facebook then there is one simple thing you should be doing when you visit the website or use the app on your device.. SIGN OUT when you are leaving the website.

     You should be treating this website just like you would your online banking or credit card website. You sign out/log out when you are through.  If you have a banking app on your phone you will notice when you swap pages and come back to your banking app it has likely automatically signed you out but if it hasn't then you should be making sure you do sign out before going to other apps.  This is the same for facebook.  When you want to share something to facebook it will prompt you to sign in to your facebook. Go ahead and do this but be sure the checkbox that displays "stay signed in" is NOT selected.

     The problem with staying signed in is the app continues to track you and monitor your activities. This includes the web page version as it will continue to use the cookies to track.  The other problem with Facebook web page sign in is there are so many other plug-ins and scripts that run, depending on what you have allowed to run within your facebook window so simply closing the page means those apps are still running in the background. 

     I realize it is one more step you have to take but isn't your internet security worth it?

        The last few shows have reflected the yearly summer slowdown insofar as your support is concerned. This fluctuation is always a concern and you are asked to consider a mid-summer contribution to the show. Ask yourself what you can really afford to keep the No Agenda Show going. It’s your show.



        Many of you listen to alternative news shows and there are plenty. With very few exceptions they tend to be flippant about their analysis. Many are alarmist. None present a reasonable rationale when they analyze the news media its government messages.

        TV is not good

        Above all, No Agenda gives you comforting peace of mind: sanity. To be successful in life you cannot go around with your brain scrambled by a world of news that makes no sense to you.         And think about this picture of the two supposed escapees from the Upstate New York prison. Regular No Agenda listeners will get a hoot out of the backgrounder now being floated . It is shot full of holes and illogical, as usual.



        More important was this screen capture (which John was promising to put in a newsletter). It looks like something out of 1984 or a Ray Bradbury script. It’s so creepy that it does not need a lot of comment.

        On tomorrow’s show this will be discussed as well as how Donald Trump seems to be running rings around the flat-footed media. Also more six week cycle news.

        Computer restarting? You can thank Microsoft for a Critical Security Update release!


        This morning Microsoft released a non-normal, security update which was deemed critical enough to bypass the normal Patch Tuesday release along with anything else. Therefore if you found your computer restarting automatically it would be because of this.

        Windows 10 is coming--is it time to get excited?

        According to all these babies, I guess it is time to get excited.. it seems Microsoft's first Windows 10 advertisement is all about Babies and the future of Windows 10... in case you didn't know, this is reportedly the LAST Windows operating system going to be created. From this point forward it will only be updates pushed through the windows update channel. It makes sense really.. something they should have done years ago probably.

          It looks like all hell broke loose within a day of the predicted six-week cycle zero day(July 15th) a major news event shook the media with the Chattanooga shooting by a lone wolf gunman. Government officials must have mixed feelings about this since each event such as this belies the notion that a surveillance state can stop this from happening.

          Only your No Agenda Show follows and develops structures around news like this, making it easy for producers to understand what is going on around them. The alternative is to be frightened by media reporting and its lame analysis of current affairs.           If you watch network news there is a huge conflict of interest with their advertisers. Most of the ads during this time slot are drug companies. By slanting the news in a way that confuses and befuddles the brain with inconsistencies, contradictory information and false analysis, your health is at risk. The solution, of course, is a pill, ask your doctor if this pill is right for you.
          The conflict of interest is clear as with all media conflicts. Advertising is the culprit and that is why your No Agenda Show chose the harder path of public support. If viewed objectively, public support is viewed unfavorably. This is silly when you consider the direct support of the moviegoing public who pay directly to see the movie. Books are a perfect example of this model working.
          The only reason that public support is frowned upon is because corporate advertisers have no control over the content. It’s not that a corporation such as BNSF rail wants to stick their nose into every story. The executives just want favorable coverage when coverage comes their way. And they get it
           
          Your No Agenda Show relies on public support because it is the high road. Any one of you who has listened to the show for any length of time knows that the commentary and analysis developed on the show would be grounds for firing on almost any network that is broadcasting today. The show keeps going thanks to you and only thanks to you. Please continue supporting the No Agenda Show. It is an investment in yourself.
