Telus Email (Still) Down

Although Telus states they have their mail working for most customers, don't believe it. Yes, you might be able to receive SOME mail but anything you have in your outbox will not go through. Even the webmail is still stuck.

My question is, "Why are you using Telus mail (still) in the first place?"  There is not one Internet Service Provider (ISP) email system that is worthy of using as your main email source.

At a time when we typically received hundreds of emails per day which would work out to a few every minute, having your main email system go down for even one hour is pretty drastic let alone 24 hours or more.

If you haven't already set up a web-based email system, now would be the time to do so. I suggest Google's gmail and probably Yahoo email as my second choice with Hotmail being the last. With Google's gmail you will also have a Google Account which will allow you to set up numerous security settings within your Chrome web browser as well as conveniences like Google Calendar, Drive, etc.

Also note, that Google's gmail will also retrieve your mail from your Telus account so that you only have to go one place to get your mail. As well, the email will be filtered for spam and viruses much better than Telus email. Not to mention, it won't go down for maybe more than 30 minutes once a year.
