Gnomedex 2006 Biggest Complaint...

The WIFI Sucks! It was bad last year, this year, same amount of people since the venue only holds so many (just over 300 and it is the same venue). We are currently in a break but nothing has changed, but then as I look around at a number of open laptops I see many, many programs running, some might simply be an email program but in many cases I see virtual online games and streaming feeds of world cup soccer, etc. Nothing wrong with what people are doing with their computers, but my complaint is that in a room full of geeks whereas we know they all will have a laptop, why are we still dealing with such slow internet speeds?
